Video: Ryan Reaves draws on Ty Rattie’s face during an interview

Ryan Reaves loves his pranks. When he’s not uploading videos of him scaring various Blues players, he’s drawing on Ty Rattie’s face during an interview. Rattie was called up as a response to the team’s rash of injuries, but he had no idea that a Sharpie was waiting for him. Another look: Gotta love Reaves.

Jake Allen may miss a couple weeks

News and details surrounding Jake Allen’s injury have been difficult to uncover. The team officially labeled Allen’s injury as “undisclosed” which is even more vague than the traditionally broad lower-body or upper-body labels. It looked like Allen injured his leg or knee on the play, which is a notion that Jeremy Rutherford has stated as […]

Ken Hitchcock said the shootout loss vs. Anaheim “feels good”

Blues fans were disappointed by the team’s shootout loss against the Anaheim Ducks and rightfully so. The Blues held a two-goal lead, blew it and then couldn’t find an extra goal to pull ahead in either regulation or overtime. For most, this felt like more of the same as the Blues once again squandered a […]

Blues are loaded with issues at the midway point

The Blues officially hit the midway point of the 2015-16 season with their 4-1 loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Their first game of the second half was a 3-2 OT loss against the Ottawa Senators on Monday night. It’d be easy to write off these two losses, but they were perfect microcosms […]

Patrik Berglund looks different since he last played

Patrik Berglund returned for the Blues on Saturday night as the team faced the Maple Leafs. The Blues hyped the fact Berglund was returning throughout the day, attempting to create a stir for the forward’s first game of 2015-16. Fox Sports Midwest covered the story too, but Berglund looks a little different since we last […]

The Scott Gomez era is over with the Blues

The Scott Gomez era with the St. Louis Blues is over. The team placed Gomez on unconditional waivers, signaling his release from the squad. This news comes shortly after the Blues announced that Patrik Berglund has been cleared for contact which would lead to a logjam at forward. Gomez served the Blues well during his […]

Patrik Berglund cleared for contact

Patrick Berglund is closing in on a return and has officially been cleared for contact during Blues practices. Berglund is still recovering from surgery he had back in August on his shoulder, but the news that he’s been cleared for contact means that a return is in the very near future. Berglund is still a polarizing […]

The Blues keep letting Brian Elliott down

If Brian Elliott’s career with the St. Louis Blues could be summarized by one game, it’d be the recent 3-0 loss to the Dallas Stars. Jake Allen started the first leg of the home-and-home series, picking up the win in a lengthy shootout after the Blues had a mostly dominant performance. Elliott was tasked with the […]

Alexander Steen will spot your dry cleaning tag and embarrass you

If you’re going to interview Alexander Steen, you better make sure you don’t have any dry cleaning tags still attached to your clothing. Chris Pinkert learned this lesson the hard way as Steen immediately spotted the tag and promptly brought it to everyone’s attention. Good eyes from Steen. And some decent camera work once he […]

Shattenkirk bats the puck out of the air to prevent a goal

The Blues picked up a big 3-2 win in a shootout against the Dallas Stars, but things wouldn’t have made it to the shootout if it wasn’t for an incredible save from Kevin Shattenkirk. The defenseman easily had the best save of the night by batting the puck out of the air just before it […]

It’s time to air some grievances about the St. Louis Blues

Festivus is here which means it’s time to air some grievances. Friend of the blog Geoff Upchurch graciously chipped in some grievances pointed at the St. Louis Blues. It’s that time of year again, and not even that mythical beast known as a full 60-minute game played last night against the Boston Bruins can hold […]

Paajarvi on blowing leads: “Maybe we don’t think too much”

The Blues appeared to have two points secured against the Philadelphia Flyers after jumping out to a 3-0 lead. Four Flyers goals later, the Blues were again trying to figure out what went wrong. How did the team make so many consecutive mistakes to drop a result? Shouldn’t a team of their caliber be able […]

Trade talk: Blues having serious discussions with Tampa Bay

Here’s some fun trade speculation which should keep Blues fans busy. Recently, Tampa Bay Lighting GM Steve Yzerman attended a Blues game and was seen chatting with Blues GM Doug Armstrong. It was unclear what the focal point of Yzerman’s visit was, but soon after the Assistant GM for the Lightning (Pat Verbeek) took in […]
