It sounds like Robby Fabbri will make the opening night roster

Robby Fabbri has impressed during training camp and preseason play and it looks like his strong play will be rewarded. By all appearances, the 19-year-old should make the opening night roster barring a major surprise. The lines referred to in the Tweet above featured Fabbri skating on the second line with Jori Lehtera and Jaden […]

Carl Gunnarsson may start the year on the IR

Blues defenseman Carl Gunnarsson may be forced to begin the season on the IR as he continues to deal with a groin injury. Details on the injury have been fairly limited (at least we have more of a description from the usually vague “lower-body” classifier), but it sounds like the injury is a bit more […]

Chris Butler and Magnus Paajarvi placed on waivers

Two interesting names popped up on waivers today: Chris Butler and Magnus Paajarvi. The news comes after a summer in which the Blues gave Paajarvi a one-year contract while Butler appeared to be a lock for the sixth or seventh defensive spot on the roster.

Blues release Stu Bickel from tryout

The Blues welcomed in a plethora of forwards to professional tryouts shortly after the news broke that Patrik Berglund would miss a considerable amount of time to start the season. Some of those names remain in contention for a spot, but others – like Stu Bickel – have been sent packing. Bickel always seemed like […]

CBS NFL broadcast confuses the Rams with the Blues

Here’s a fun blooper (or lame joke) from the Rams-Steelers game on Sunday. The game itself wasn’t great (outside of the pregame fire), but this CBS goof which confused the Rams with the St. Louis Blues was pretty solid. At first it looked like the broadcast was trying to make a pun or joke, but […]

Club Level seats at Blues games reportedly have a new alcohol policy

Fans who have sat in the Club Level at Blues games are probably accustomed to the unlimited food and drinks which come with the ticket. According to a fan who recently sat in the section during a preseason game, that policy has ended when it comes to alcohol. The fan, as seen over on Reddit, […]

Pavol Demitra’s Aston Martin is for sale on Ebay

It’s always sad to talk about Pavol Demitra due to the fact he was taken way too soon, but it may be even sadder to think about his possessions being sold off. Such is the case as his 2010 Aston Martin DBS is apparently up for sale on Ebay. The Buy It Now price is […]

Video: David Backes throws out the first pitch

David Backes does a lot of things really well. Apparently that’s not just limited to the sport of hockey. Backes was called on to throw out the first pitch before the St. Louis Cardinals took on the Cincinnati Reds and he delivered a strike. Backes apparently didn’t have too many chances to warm up, thanks […]

St. Louis Cardinals wear Blues jerseys during warmups

Back in April, the Blues wore special jerseys during warmups which honored the St. Louis Cardinals. Now, the Cardinals are returning the favor with some pretty awesome Blues jerseys. Kind of odd seeing the Cardinals in anything other than red, but it’s a pretty sharp look.

Jay Bouwmeester looks to be recovered from groin injury

The 2014-15 season wasn’t a great one for Jay Bouwmeester. It wasn’t horrible, but Bouwmeester didn’t look like the elite defenseman the Blues were expecting to see. A lingering groin injury hindered Bouwmeester and noticeably took a toll on his usual strong skating. The summer offered an opportunity for the 31-year-old to rest up and […]

Video: Fox Sports Midwest promo for the new St. Louis Blues season

Hockey is almost here! One of the best indicators is the fact Fox Sports Midwest is preparing to unveil their new promo video for the upcoming 2015-16 St. Louis Blues season. The video below will begin airing during the Cardinals-Cubs game on Sunday, September 20th, but you can see an early preview below.

Fans will have to use metal detectors at the Scottrade Center

The St. Louis Blues will be using metal detectors at the doors of the Scottrade Center during the 2015-16 season. The NHL has made this a requirement for all league teams in an effort to improve safety after incidents at other arenas involving a knife and a firearm. All fans entering Scottrade will be required […]

St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer mocks Brian Elliott

Blues fans are still frustrated over the team’s early playoff exit last season and history of underachieving. That frustration has been seen from the writers who cover the team as well, but by now it’s mostly reigned in as the team prepares for training camp. Apparently St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Dan O’Neill is still bitter and […]
