Winter Olympics will include 10 Blues

The Blues will be well represented in Sochi. The team will send 10 players to compete in the Winter Olympics, representing six different countries.

– David Backes
– T.J. Oshie
– Kevin Shattenkirk

– Alex Pietrangelo
– Jay Bouwmeester

– Alexander Steen
– Patrik Berglund

– Vladimir Tarasenko

Czech Republic
– Vladimir Sobotka

– Jaroslav Halak

The 10 representatives from St. Louis ties the most that any team will send to the NHL. Chicago and Detroit will also send 10 players to Sochi.

The Blues would have had 11 players joining the Olympics, but the Czech team decided to leave Roman Polak back in the States. There's been some debate over his exclusion and whether or not it's injury related, but the fact remains that the Blues fans will have plenty of players and countries to cheer for in February.
