T.J. Oshie won’t be on the cover of NHL15

T.J. Oshie won’t be on the cover of EA’s latest NHL video game. Oshie made it to the second round of voting, but was booted from the contest by Boston’s Patrice Bergeron. The contest is now down to P.K. Subban versus Bergeron.

Before you get mad at Blues fans for not voting enough to send Oshie through to the Finals, it’s important that you read the fine print:

That last line basically states that the whole voting process is one that’s more for fun than it is about deciding who makes the cover. Even if Oshie actually had more votes than Bergeron, there’s no guarantee that he’d win the round.

Either way, it was nice to see Oshie make it to the Final Four and it was nice to see the St. Louis Blues try to rally the troops in order to secure some votes. Though Oshie didn’t make the cover, we all enjoyed a few videos which helped lighten the mood after a disappointing playoff exit.
