Blues working to sign Jaden Schwartz

Doug Armstrong recently held a chat with Blues fans and he shed a little bit of light on the negotiations with Jaden Schwartz. To date, we really haven’t heard much about Schwartz, but Armstrong states that the team is in the initial process of figuring out a new contract for the forward.

Armstrong’s comments, via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

“We’re in the initial process. I had a conversation with Jaden’s agent yesterday and we’re working towards getting him signed. This could take some time but we’re comfortable that he will be at training camp.”

Sounds like things are moving along as planned. You never want to count on a player being with a team until pen is put to paper, but all signs are indicating Schwartz will be with the Blues in 2014-15.
