He shows flashes of impressive skill but he just doesn't produce. If he would just pass or shoot the puck more often I think he'd put some points up but he almost seems lost sometimes in the zone. I know the front office has stated many times that Backes is going no where, so we should be able to rest peacefully there. Perron could bring a nice haul, though I think I would only part with a player as skilled as him if the price was absolutely right. I like your list. These are the players that I feel the Blues need to hold on tight to: 1. McDonald 2. Johnson 3. Oshie 4. I def agree about Kariya. He might be worth 4M, and that's a strong MIGHT.
