If he really did say that, talk about surprising. Does he not think he has struggled? 11 goals compared to seasons in the 30s and 40s? It feels as if most of his assists were the second assist as well, but those are numbers I haven't tried to dive in to.

supposedly Boyes was disappointed to hear that he was made available... Seriously??? When you're only producing at a third of what you're getting paid for, what do you expect? This is a business.

I have been a die hard Blues fan since the 80's I like what the blues front office has done in the past 2 years. Although it is time to part ways with kariya,Thachuck, and possibly boyes send them packing please!!!!!

Last season I would have felt more protective of Perron, but so far I've been disappointed. He shows flashes of impressive skill but he just doesn't produce. If he would just pass or shoot the puck more often I think he'd put some points up but he almost seems lost sometimes in the zone.

I like your list. I know the front office has stated many times that Backes is going no where, so we should be able to rest peacefully there. Perron could bring a nice haul, though I think I would only part with a player as skilled as him if the price was absolutely right.

I'd have to agree with Strickland, only I'd add a few others to my list. These are the players that I feel the Blues need to hold on tight to:

1. McDonald
2. Johnson
3. Oshie
4. Backes

These guys show promise:

Berglund, Steen

Anyone else, I wouldn't lose sleep if we got rid of them. I personally think Perron will make great trade bait. I'm pretty sure he'll shop himself around after this season anyway and someone will probably be willing to pay more than he's worth.

I'm starting to feel like we need to ride this one out with our current roster and just give the starting goalie spot to Conklin, then make moves in the off-season.

I def agree about Kariya. He might be worth 4M, and that's a strong MIGHT.
